Environment Variables Declaration in Pentaho

To have a common access for specific variables all around your transformations you can declare
them as Environment variables.
following are the steps
first name the variable
set default values for the variable
to get access these variables in your desired transformation pick a Get Variable icon from menu and drag it to you desired transformation.
name the variable and select environment variable from the drop down combo
now you can access these variables either in your input step or the SQL script step or wherever you like.
